The Christopher Ward Trident 30×30 is a striking limited-edition dive watch created in partnership with the Blue Marine Foundation, combining the proven capability of Christopher Ward’s C60 platform with a distinctive ocean-inspired design. Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide, the watch takes its name from Blue Marine’s 30×30 Ocean Action Plan, which aims to have 30 percent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030.
The centerpiece is its spectacular teal wave-pattern dial, a bespoke design created exclusively for the Trident 30×30 to mimic the movement of ocean tides. The teal color is contrasted by a coral-red seconds hand and red “AUTOMATIC” text, with the color combination inspired by tropical parrotfish and their important role in maintaining healthy coral reef ecosystems.
The watch uses Christopher Ward’s four-piece 41mm “sandwich” Reef case, combining stainless steel and aluminum elements to introduce contrasting colors within the case architecture. Measuring just 11.45mm thick and 47.9mm lug-to-lug, it maintains excellent proportions while delivering a substantial 200 meters of water resistance.
Inside is the upgraded Sellita SW200-2 Power+ automatic movement. This newer 26-jewel Swiss caliber provides approximately 60–65 hours of power reserve, a substantial improvement over the traditional SW200 platform, while Christopher Ward specifies accuracy of -5/+12 seconds per day.
